The Vice President (VP) of Pharmaceuticals HUB Services will be responsible for the strategic leadership, oversight, and operational excellence of the company’s HUB Services division. The VP will drive the growth and development of integrated patient support solutions, ensuring optimal access to medications, enhanced patient outcomes, and improved healthcare provider satisfaction. This role will require a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, a strong strategic vision, and the ability to manage complex operations across multiple stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, payers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

 

Hybrid role based out of Louisville, Kentucky

 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision and growth plans for the Pharmaceuticals HUB Services division.
  • Lead the development of innovative patient support programs, including access services, patient education, reimbursement support, and copay assistance programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HUB Services initiatives with broader organizational goals, ensuring overall business growth and market leadership.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the daily operations of HUB Services, including patient access and support, call center operations, data management, and client services.
  • Implement best practices to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of HUB operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant laws and industry standards.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the HUB Services team.
  • Lead organizational change and transformation to enhance the capabilities and impact of the HUB Services division.
  • Work with leadership team to provide career growth and succession planning

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for key pharmaceutical clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively for new business opportunities to develop new programs that contribute to company financial goals.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and support to clients, patients, and health-care providers.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the division’s budget and resources to meet financial targets, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost containment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to assess the effectiveness of HUB services and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Drive revenue generation through innovative program offerings and optimize pricing and service delivery models.

Innovation & Technology Integration:

  • Lead the adoption and integration of advanced technologies, such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital health tools, to improve the efficiency and outcomes of HUB services.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact HUB operations and patient access.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Clinical services, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal, to drive alignment and ensure seamless execution of HUB Services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, health-care providers, insurance companies, and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education:
    • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, PharmD, or similar preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within the pharmaceutical, health-care, pharmaceutical service provider or managed care industry.
    • At least 10 years of experience in managing HUB services or patient access programs, including client-facing responsibilities and operational leadership.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading large teams, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and delivering innovative solutions.
    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, reimbursement models, regulatory requirements, and patient access challenges.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams.
    • Expertise in pharmaceutical market access, patient support services, and health-care provider engagement.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
    • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Strong understanding of data analytics and digital tools used in HUB operations.
