The DC Operations Supervisor is responsible for direct oversight of Operations Leads, pick pack operations, and material handlers coordinating staffing and scheduling with DC Management to meet daily service level agreements.

 

Full-time On-site role, must be able to work the hours of Monday-Friday 7:30am ET- 4:00pm ET.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe production environment
  • Oversee day-to-day activities for all fulfillment operations in a 3PL environment.
  • Elevate any errors, delays, performance, or quality concerns to Management in a timely manner
  • Mentor employees to ensure knowledge transfer and professional growth.
  • Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate order-scheduling activities to optimize throughput and meet service level agreements.
  • Provide daily direction and communication to employees in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (including line clearance, product reconciliation, and sanitation) procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Supervise case picks, low unit of measure module, cold chain refrigerator associates selecting outstanding orders.  Responsible for productivity, accuracy, line set-ups and scheduling of labor.
  • Deploy labor, equipment, and systems focused on achieving benchmark KPIs set for each department and the 3PL Warehouse to meet client service level agreements on a daily basis.
  • Report equipment failures to the Warehouse Facilities Manager in a timely manner to avoid downtime. 
  • Coordinate activities between departments such as Printing Waves, Warehouse, Inventory, Quality Assurance and Program Management to keep production jobs on schedule.
  • Ensure that Operations Leads accurately report the consumption of resources (e.g., labor, materials, inventory, equipment, postage, corrugate, cooler boxes, etc…)
  • Ensure and validate all required work-flow documentation is completed and archived.
  • Ensure that paperwork and databases are updated as close to real time as possible and contain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure that all materials, inventory, and equipment are ready in advance of deploying labor to a work area.
  • Assign individual tasks to associates; assess quality and productivity of output on an on-going basis, adjusting line and labor as necessary.
  • Lead process review and recommend improvements and changes. 
  • Facilitate the professional development of new Operations Leads.
  • Participate in all training and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education/Training:  High School Education or higher. 

 

Business Experience:  Three years related supervisory experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • General Supervisory Skills or training (including safety and regulatory specific training or experience)
  • General warehouse or distribution skills.
  • Cold Chain experience a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use of job specific machinery and equipment
  • Intermediate mathematical skills (counting, adding, multiplying, percentages, calculating line rates, capacities, ability to calculate financial implications, etc.)
  • Proficient in the MS Suite applications
