The purpose of the Coordinator, 3PL Scheduling is to aid in the scheduling and passing of orders to the warehouse and order fulfillment.  This position will schedule warehouse waves from our current Warehouse Management System and review inventory and forward-positioned stock levels.

 

***Full time role, must be able to work the following days/hours to be considered: Monday- Friday, 11:30am ET-8:00pm ET.

Responsibilities

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and schedule for Order Fulfillment areas and define the appropriate wave masters by client and shipping method specifics.
  • Review and schedule rush orders for the Order Fulfillment areas.
  • Review forward-positioned stock levels inventory for wave demands.
  • Create transfers to fill forward-positioned inventory levels to fulfill wave demands.
  • Interact with Operations Managers, supervisors, and leads to acquire daily and real time statuses to aid in making scheduling and waving decisions.
  • Ability to understand inventory terms, statuses and FEFO terminology.
  • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with multiple departments.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education/Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.
  • Standard computer skills including the use of a mouse and typing.
  • Knowledge of basic email, word processing, and excel spreadsheet application.

 

Business Experience: Two years in manufacturing or production warehouses.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgements relative to inventory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

  • Frequently required to stand or sit
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently expected to work in refrigerated conditions
  • Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 60 pounds

 

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily works in a warehouse environment with some office duties.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on business needs
